The Balance Act of Freedom and Stability - a weekend workshop with Leslie Journet
September 3rd – 5th, 2010


An approach to yoga that can be applied to every yoga posture and practice, bringing the body into optimal
alignment according to your own individual physical blueprint.

Leslie held a very popular workshop at Mudita three years ago, and we have received many reuquest to bring her back,
and we are very happy that we can do so at this time. This is a fantastic opportunity for everybody that wants to get a
deeper understanding of their body and yoga, regardless of the type and level of yoga they pracice.

Leslie Journet
Leslie Journet has been teaching yoga since 1990 in studios in New York City, and has been teaching dance and yoga at the Alvin Ailey School of Dance since 2000.

As a modern dancer performing with Paul Sanasardo in the 1980's, she was originally attracted to yoga as a method to increase control and flexibility, and to heal and prevent injuries. She studied with the accomplished dancer and yoga teacher Juliu Horvath of White Cloud from 1985. She began teaching at White Cloud 1990, and continued teaching and studying there until the studio closed in 1998.

By that time yoga had become her primary interest and she began serious study at the B.K.S. Iyengar studio in New York City. She has completed 2 years of Iyengar teacher training and in 2005 she spent 5 weeks in Pune, India studying with the Iyengar's. She  completed a teacher training course in Anusara Yoga  with Zhenja La Rosa in 2009 and recently received her Anusara Inspired certification.

Leslie has expanded her studies of Traditional Indian Healing methods by completing Robert Svoboda's correspondence course through the Ayurvedic Institute in New Mexico, and an Ayurvedic Nutrition program with Dr. Naina Marballi at the Ayurveda's Beauty Care Center in New York City.


Kent Larsen
Kent Larsen has a BA i psychology from University of Calif, San Diego, teaching credentials from University of California, Irvine och one year of masters studies in Holistic Psychology at the University for Humanistic Studies i San Diego. He has studied and practised yoga och meditation since 1987 och taught since 1991. He has completed a Yoga Alliance certified teacher training at Yoga-Thailand, and has studied Pranayama with Sri O. P. Tiwari of the Kaivlayadhama Institute, India since 2003.
