About Mudita Mudita is sanskrit for "joy". In particular, the experience of joy for other peoples' joy and success. The Dalai Lama said once about the concept of mudita, that if he would only be happy when good things happen to him, he would only be happy now and then, but if he can fell joy over other people's happiness, he can be happy often.Mudita Yoga & Massage consists of a yoga shala, a massage studio, and a kitchen, where we serve healthy vegetarian food. The building is constructed of wood with straw bales as insulation, which are covered on the inside and the outside with a plaster mix of clay, sand and cow dung. In this location, overlooking the Baltic Sea, we are trying to create a place that will nurture physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health based on yoga, a tradition that through introspection has researched the human psyche for thousands of years. We are located in Baskemölla, a small fishing village 5 km north of Simrishamn on the south east tip of Sweden. Here you can take long walks along the beach, in the beech forests, or in the natural park that once was a quarry. If you drive here, you park at the Ekoby in Baskemölla parking lot, and then follow the signs to Mudita by foot. Lodging in and around Baskemölla. Mudita |
